Six Steps to Success!

A successful bariatric surgery requires you follow these six steps to success!:

1. Boot Camp:

Here is where we explore our attitudes, behavior and our relationship to food. We examine our resistance to change, learn to eat differently and begin to participate in physical activity.

2. The Surgery:

This is the quickest and easiest part of the journey.

3. Transition to Re-eating:

This part is by far more challenging than the surgery itself. Success at this step sets the stage for sustaining what you’ve attained: self-knowledge and a decision to learn to eat all over again; this time in a healthy way.

4. The Honeymoon:

The first 12 to 18 months after surgery is the time when we adapt to our changing body size and the feelings about it. We settle down to a new life style with new coping skills. This adjustment requires patience and rigorous compliance to earlier lessons.

5. The Return of the Cravings:

This stage can be the greatest adjustment yet. With considerable weight loss and new self confidence, it is easy to let old habits creep back in. Here’s where the Boot Camp Concepts help to prevent relapse and weight gain.

6. The Rest of Your Life:

Reliance on Boot Camp Concepts, a commitment to our new eating habits, a new lifestyle and a new attitude will serve us well.
